Modèle pour les plus grands artistes du début du 20e siècle, de Puvis de Chavannes à Auguste Renoir, elle subvient ainsi à ses besoins et à ceux de son fils, le futur peintre Maurice Utrillo. Artiste autodidacte reconnue depuis la fin de la Première Guerre mondiale, elle se démarque par sa vision franche et sans concession du nu féminin. Jahrhunderts stand sie vielen großen Meistern, von Puvis de Chavannes bis Auguste Renoir, Modell und verdiente so den Lebensunterhalt für sich und ihren Sohn, dem späteren Maler Maurice Utrillo. Nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg galt die künstlerische Autodidaktin als anerkannte Malerin, deren weibliche Akte sich durch eine unverstellte und kompromisslose Darstellung auszeichnen. By working as a model for the greatest artists of the early 20th century, from Puvis de Chavannes to Auguste Renoir, she was able to provide for herself and her son, the future painter Maurice Utrillo. By the end of the First World War she was a reputed self-taught artist, who stood out for her frank and uncompromising vision of the female nude.
